Bus-Interface
Communication interface for integration into a building automation system
Integrated power supply
With integrated 24V DC power supply; a 12V variant is possible. Maximum output power: 75W
NEW: with gateway for integration into a Building Management System
Trench convectors can be connected to building management systems via the gateway and managed directly from there. This drastically reduces cabling effort, and installation can be carried out even when tenant fit‑out details are not yet defined.
Our control unit is already in daily operation over 1,000 times, and we have yet to encounter a single setup with which the Climate unit is not compatible.
Radical simplicity
Electricians no longer need to ask questions
In the world of trench convector control, there is complete inconsistency: unstable custom-built solutions, error‑prone wiring in junction boxes – out in the field we’ve encountered every imaginable (and unimaginable) setup.
This chaos causes major frustration for electricians on site:
- Connection procedures are completely unclear
- Cabling effort increases significantly
- Complex connector and wiring layouts lead to errors
- Device labels are confusing or missing entirely
- Workarounds and improvisations become the norm
We put an end to this chaos. Climate is the first standardized, universally applicable, and installation‑ready control unit for trench convectors.
Clear connector layout
All connectors are located in one place on the control unit, fully standardized and clearly labeled. This drastically reduces the risk of installation errors.
No more follow‑up questions
Electricians of all skill levels can commission trench convectors using the Climate control unit. The days of constant questions from the construction site are over.
Minimal wiring
On site, installers only connect the 230V power supply, the bus cables, and the temperature controller. The control units take care of everything else. This saves time, frustration, and — most importantly — many meters of cable.
1,000 installations, 0 call‑backs
Its simplicity has been proven in the field: Across more than 1,000 installations, not a single electrician has ever called us because something was unclear. Every installation was completed smoothly.
NEW: featuring an elegant wireless thermostat
Unpack it, insert the batteries, and you’re ready to go. The minimalist Climate Wireless Thermostat comes pre‑paired with the Climate control unit. No wiring, no pairing, no configuration required. It works completely independently of the tenant fit‑out, without in‑wall cabling or surface‑mounted conduits. The wall‑mounted device can simply be screwed or adhered to any desired location in the room and is immediately operational.
- No configuration required
- No pairing required — already linked with Climate
- Unpack, insert battery, done.
- 2‑pipe operation with manual heating/cooling switch
- 4‑pipe operation
- Fan speed adjustable in 6 levels
- Battery life of 2 years using standard AAA batteries
- Custom logo on display available
Full flexibility with wall‑mounted controllers
The Climate control unit can communicate with all common wall‑mounted controllers, such as the Jaga JRT‑100.
Even simple thermostat controllers with basic on/off control can be connected without issue.
In addition, the Climate control unit includes an integrated power supply for the wall controller. No separate power supply is needed. One single cable between the controller and the Climate unit is all it takes.
NEW: Gateway for integration into Building Management Systems
With the Climate Gateway, all trench convectors can be connected to building management systems. Without tedious or complex wiring, control groups can be created directly within the management system. This significantly simplifies interior construction, as installations can proceed even when tenant layout details are still unclear. Control zones can be defined entirely without making any physical changes to the wiring.
Via the gateway, overall system status is also quick and easy to assess. If a fan is blocked anywhere, it can be immediately identified through the web interface, greatly simplifying commissioning. By displaying data points, their addresses, and actual values, system technicians gain a straightforward path to integrating the Climate units into the building management system. Each convector can be named freely, making navigation within the management platform even easier.

Remote access to the web interface is possible even without a VPN connection. This allows projects to be implemented and supported much faster and more easily. No tedious IT forms, no need to procure your own VPN or router hardware.
- Integration into the building management system via Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, BACnet IP, KNX and REST API.
- No licenses required; all protocols can be used in parallel without limitations.
- Easy installation: no configuration or parameterization, no master/slave setup, no termination resistors, no expansion modules.
- Remote maintenance and remote updates are possible even without VPN access.
Unique: link up to 50 units in one group
Up to 50 units can be interconnected in a group and operated reliably over distances of up to 300 meters. This makes it possible to control climate requirements even in large control zones: open‑plan offices with large window fronts, museum and archive spaces with strict aesthetic and functional demands, airport or railway halls, and more.
This provides maximum flexibility, even when tenant fit‑out details are still unknown during the planning phase.
Within a group, the control units automatically pass the control signal to each other. The wall controller is simply connected to one of the Climate units — that’s it. No more tedious multi‑cabling required.
Process for trough installation

Actuators
Define which actuators are to be controlled.

Trough
Install all components in the floor trough.

Installation
Install the troughs in the building. The electrician connects the 230V power supply, the bus cable, and the temperature controller. Done.
From searching for errors to actually finding them
The widespread inconsistency in trench convector control leads to another major issue: troubleshooting.
Only very few control solutions on the market offer error and diagnostic functions. Especially when cables have been hastily wired together inside junction boxes, identifying the cause of malfunctions becomes extremely time‑consuming.
Here as well, the Climate control unit takes a new approach:
Monitoring of all fans with tachometer signal.
Monitoring of continuous (0-10V) heating and cooling valves with position feedback.
Error indication on the device and via 24V digital fault output.
When units are linked in a group, they continue to work together even if faults occur.
If a fault is detected anywhere in the group, all units in the network begin to flash red. The affected device lights up solid red, making it easy to locate.
